The Technical Manager, Application Development will be responsible for managing and leading application development team focused on service delivery, talent and resource management, aligning to our overall technology strategy and roadmap.
Drive the development of strategic initiatives and BAU in a timely manner working with various stakeholders onscope, planning and delivering projects in agile methodologies over multiple release cycles.
Provide effective leadership and exercise day-to-day management of assigned staff. Set priorities among competing goals and objectives and coordinates simultaneous workflows to ensure efficient contribution to S&P objectives.
Ability to translate business requirements into design - application builds and guide the development teams
Ensures delivered work meets technical, functional, performance and business requirements as well as best practices defined by the organization - Industry without compromising the quality.

Capacity Planning, Infrastructure Planning & Support
- Have knowledge of Disaster Recovery and Software - hardware upgrades
Must have at least 12 years of professional experience in software engineering, with at least 6 years in leadership positions managing a team.
- Must have at least 5 years of Pega application hands on design - development experience using Pega 7.x platform and the integrated environments.
Have an advanced understanding of Pega PRPC V7.x Architecture and leads development activities in an Agile-SCRUM based work environment.
- Pega CSSA - LSA certification is required. Pega V7.x experience is preferred.
Additional technology stack and cloud based technologies are added advantage.
Good working knowledge of Unix (Solaris), web server (Apache), application server (WebLogic), single sign on technologies is necessary.
Advanced Oracle - SQL knowledge is highly desirable.
Working knowledge of DevOps:*
Git, Jenkins, CI - CD pipelines, etc.
Understanding of Test Driven Development (TDD) practices as well as Automation and Unit Testing.
Strong Agile practitioner.

- Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering is required, or in lieu, a demonstrated equivalence in work experience.
