The Team - The Business:

Our Data Center and Storage Services Team is responsible for architecting highly available, scalable, secure, performant, and cost-effective solutions for block, file, and object data storage and protection needs. We develop the standards and advise on the procedures that our operations teams use to ensure system stability while running the storage infrastructure. Our team collaborates with the lines of business and infrastructure peers to manage our data center strategy and design data center spaces that meet a diverse set of requirements. You will have the opportunity every day, to work with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and can develop a close team dynamic with coworkers from around the globe.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Apply objective and effectively structured decision making techniques to project activities, purchases, and troubleshooting.

  • Serves as the senior most technical member of the organization tower, providing guidance and setting direction for architecture and strategic activities.

  • Research new solutions and make recommendations based on objective data.

  • Liaison with vendors and service providers to select products and services that meet company goals.

  • Creates and maintains storage infrastructure services technology roadmaps.

  • Creates infrastructure solutions to achieve long-term objectives in accordance with company data center, storage, and backup strategies.

  • Provides expert-level guidance to other infrastructure towers to guide the development of their respective strategies.

Experience and proficiency with a variety of system tools and skill-sets including:

  • 10 years of experience in System Administration - Engineering and Architecture

    • Deep understanding of storage, compute, and network architecture and engineering best practices.

    • Special focus on block, file, and object storage accessed using a multitude of protocols.

    • Brocade Fiber Channel networks. WWN zoning and other industry zoning methodologies.

    • Expert-level knowledge of the use cases, limitations, benefits, and requirements for snapshot and replication technologies along with principles of effective copy data management.

    • A successful track record in project definition and technical management.

    • Background in varied technologies such as telecommunications, client server architectures, electronic commerce infrastructures, enterprise and workgroup server platforms, Web applications, portals, etc.

    • Ability to create constructive relationships, influence, and communicate (to project team, IT management, and non-technical staff).

    • Ability to lead complex, cross-functional problem-solving initiatives.

    • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.

    • Exceptional understanding of the Client s goals and objectives.

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

    • Excellent architecture and technical support documentation skills.

    • Excellent interpersonal and consultative skills.

    • Proven ability to conduct research into emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products as required.

    • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.

    • Proven ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

    • Promoting a team-oriented, collaborative environment

    • Experience delivering solutions in a complex, globally distributed infrastructure
