Our digital newsroom is dedicated to delivering readers actionable news on financial markets around the world. You will work closely with editors focused on the sector as well as team journalists passionate about various other markets. Additionally, you will collaborate with our data journalism team to bolster articles with our proprietary private equity data.
This new position expands our long-standing financial news coverage to the private market. We need a self-motivated reporter passionate about digging into the dynamics and complexities of the space to provide clients with the news and analysis they need to make sound decisions. You will be able to quickly move from one assignment to the next.
You will play a pivotal role in building private equity news coverage, so this position will offer room to grow and make the role your own. The focus of the reporting will initially be in the U.S., but there will be opportunities for global collaboration with teams in key newsroom locations such as London and Hong Kong.
Stay on top of the private equity beat and build source network in the sector.
Cover breaking news of private equity deals, personnel changes and fundraising activity.
Do in-depth reporting and analysis to produce insightful features and data-driven analytical trend pieces.
Collaborate with other S&P Global Market Intelligence reporters and editors on news coverage.
2 years of reporting experience.
Command of journalistic standard methodology (AP style, libel issues, etc.).
Ability to generate creative ideas, develop sources and produce concise, accurate and insightful analysis and breaking news to daily and weekly deadlines.
Affinity for analyzing numbers to leverage S&P Global Market Intelligence data, financial reports and other industry information in your reporting.
Experience in financial journalism, particularly with a focus on private equity.
Experience incorporating various kinds of data into reporting.
