Do you love assisting clients? Our Commercial team establishes relationships with firms within our covered sectors. You will have the opportunity to provide a full range of support services to the sales people, relationship managers and product managers involved in the sales process, as well as partner with relationship managers, internal stakeholders and clients to drive success in renewing our book of business.
We are looking for a dynamic Renewal Associate to bring their excitement and passion to the team. You should be able to thrive in an environment of deadlines, client calls and unexpected challenges. When engaged, our team is responsible for facilitating all economic aspects of our organization's subscription renewal process.
Analyze account background and product adoption; develop a keen understanding of our value proposition from the client perspective.
Work proactively to be a business partner to the Relationship Management (RM ) teams
o Partner with Renewal Specialists and RM teams to identify opportunities where we can best support the renewal process, such as helping facilitate key account renewals or managing tail-end accounts to help the RM team process the entire book of business.
o Attend account planning meetings to assist with renewal strategy and help avert procedural problems before they develop.
o Act as the traffic coordinator of work between our own team and other stakeholder teams, and partner with these stakeholder teams to resolve client issues in a timely manner.
o Manage negotiated renewals to assist the team in achieving the target Net Renewal Rate.
Present pricing proposals and value propositions to clients, including platform updates, custom templates built, support calls handled, visit and training activity, etc., and be the first interaction when a client has questions about the pricing of their renewal.
Become a Subject Matter Expert on internal procedures related to the Renewal Process
o Maintain open lines of communication through regular interactions with other stakeholder teams, such as Order Management, Legal and Finance.
o Suggest potential system and - or process improvements.o Assist in creating and updating procedure documentation as needed.
Understand, navigate, and leverage the CRM system to facilitate all aspects of renewals.
- Coordinate and lead renewal meetings - calls with internal stakeholders and clients.
Facilitate contract creation and renewal document collection.
Create and manage gratis pending renewal cases.
Provide predictive caution to the team, manager and other key stakeholders if tasks will not be completed in a timely matter.
Work closely with Collections and Finance to ensure subscriptions are paid in a timely manner.
Provide back-up support for Renewal Specialists.
- Complete other assignments as required and - or assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent education and experience.
Experience - Skills:
Ideally 1 to 2 years of experience in a consultative sales or a client-facing role (inside sales, prospecting, sales support, customer support).
Goal and action oriented, with ability to work towards revenue targets within a business development environment.
Experience in effectively managing challenging situations (i.e. objection handling, overcoming gatekeepers, etc.)
Solid organization, multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the business, internally and externally.
Ability to manage multiple high-priority deadlines and projects, while also exhibiting flexibility and resilience in the face of changing business needs.
Commitment to integrity and excellence with a client-first mindset.
Knowledge of or experience with CRM databases (such as Salesforce.com) is preferred; ability to learn CRM system on the fly and integrate this knowledge into daily workflow is required.
Strong MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills.
