You are part of the Market Intelligence Revenue & Book of Business Reporting team providing monthly analysis on the financial performance of S&P Global Market Intelligence s top line. You are responsible for the monthly accounting close process working with the SPGI Corporate Accounting & GBS teams to ensure integrity and accuracy of financial results. In additional, you are preparing monthly reporting for Senior Business and Finance Leadership teams to meet business needs and drive decision-making.
Prepare monthly revenue and ACV reports, including business commentary, renewal performance, new sales and revenue analysis.
Build and analyze monthly ACV and revenue estimates. Understand how key business drivers influence the financial performance of the business and be able to project future performance of the business.
Participate in annual and multi-year sales planning and budget process for the division.
Responding to both internal and external audit queries and ensuring full compliance internal controls (SOX) providing evidence as required.
Project work supporting the broader MI divisional reporting team and operational improvement embracing LEAN principles.
Bachelor s Degree in Accounting - Finance with at least 4 years validated financial analysis experience operating within a matrix business structure and working as a part of in a Global Finance organization.
Strong skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint and data warehouse tools.
Strong analytical skills and with attention to detail.
Sound knowledge of accounting principles.
Ability to work independently and as a fully contributing member of a multi-locational team with challenging, often conflicting deadlines.
Experience with ERP (Oracle Financials) and Cognos TM1 is preferred.
