S&P Global Senior Manager, Quality Engineering & Metrics in Centennial, Colorado

Overview

Communicates and leads the creation and maintenance of the overall roadmap and quality assurance direction for both internal and new product systems that contribute directly to revenue growth. Directs QA in the design and development of QA methods for Databases, Enterprise Applications, and Product Applications

with new and existing technologies.

Key Roles & Responsibilities*

  • Manage human capital resources and lead the quality assurance and metric architecture projects; including developing and monitoring project plans and budgets.

    • Provide direction and guidance on reports, communications, and quality assurance training materials and ensure recommendations are aligned with customer - organization needs and capabilities.
  • Utilize standard procedures and policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

  • Lead staff through the creation and maintenance of the overall roadmap and quality assurance direction for both internal and new product systems.

  • Review test plans (manual, automated, and performance) and communicates results and suggestions for avoiding quality defects to development teams.

  • Extensive vendor resource management responsibilities

Functional and Business Knowledge

Has in-depth knowledge of QA and metrics architecture processes and strategies.

Problem Solving

Provide guidance on routine to highly complex problems to subordinates.

Exercise judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action.

Interactions

Work with other teams as a leader. Frequently interact with subordinate supervisors and functional peer groups.

Typical Scope & Impact

Contribute to the achievement of QA and Metrics Architecture and IT objectives. Work on issues where analysis of situation or data requires review of relevant factors.

Minimum and Preferred Education

Bachelor's degree; Master's preferred.

Minimum and Preferred Experience - Skills

8 years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree. Advanced degree preferred. Some managerial experience required.
